How Apps Are Sorted on the Appdome Platform

Last updated January 11, 2024 by Appdome

Once multiple apps files (.ipa, .apk, .aab) are uploaded to your workspace or to a collaborative workspace, it is important to understand how those apps are organized in order to  select the right app version and build number to work from.

This Knowledge Base article provides explanations on how Android and iOS mobile apps are displayed on the Appdome platform.
We hope you find this knowledge base article useful and enjoy using Appdome!

iOS and Android Apps on Appdome

Appdome is a no-code mobile application Cyber Defense Automation platform to protect Android and iOS apps easily. Using a simple ‘click to add’ user interface, Appdome allows anyone to add mobile app security to any iOS or Android app in seconds, no code or coding required.

Using Appdome, there are no development or coding prerequisites. For example, there are no Appdome SDKs, libraries, plug-ins, software or hardware to implement. Likewise, there are no required infrastructure changes.  Users simply upload an Android or iOS app, select their choice of features from Appdome’s Security category, and click “Build My App”. The Appdome technology adds the chosen mobile security features to the app (plus any required standards or framework extensions) automatically, with no manual development work at all.

How Appdome Mobile Integration Platform Organizes Uploaded Apps

Uploaded app are sorted accordingly to this organization:

  • OS – Bundle ID
    •  Version – versions of the app that share the same OS
      • Build number – Builds that share the same version

For example: com.bundleID.appname.foo Versiob1685130422.0.0 (7.34.1)
