This Knowledge Base article summarizes the Appdome support policy for mobile app architectures and processors.
We hope you find it useful and enjoy using Appdome!
Appdome is no-code mobile security and mobile integration platform that allows users to add security features, like RASP, code obfuscation, data encryption, and more, as well as mobile threat, mobile fraud, anti-bot, and other SDKs and APIs to Android and iOS apps.
Apple, Google, SDK developers, and App publishers continually make updates to their software in order to ensure built (fused) apps work with a new mobile operating system (OS) releases and new SDKs. To ensure that your app is compatible with the latest published catalog, some requirements must be met.
Furthermore, when building your mobile app on Appdome, it automatically protected with ONEShield™ advanced app shielding. ONEShield™ is Appdome’s advanced mobile app hardening features, among them anti-tampering, anti-debugging and Prevent Running on Simulators and Emulators protections, and other features, that protecting your app against malicious attackers.
A common method for attackers to compromise applications is to run them on a simulators or emulators (which is an environment completely under the control of the attacker). x86 architectures are often used in hacking apps to mimic emulators. To fully protect your app, Appdome ONEShield™ intentionally does not support x86 architectures and prevents your application from running on x86 simulators and emulators.
Starting August 1, 2019, ARM 64-bit is an industry-standard. All new apps and app updates that include native code are required to provide 64-bit versions in addition to 32-bit versions when publishing to Google Play.
Appdome fully supports ARM 64-bit processors and supports ARM 32-bit on a best effort basis.
Starting June 28, 2017, all new iOS apps and updates submitted to the App Store must support 64-bit. Furthermore, iOS 11 dropped the support for devices with a 32-bit processor.
Appdome following Apple’s guidelines to EOL of 32-bit processors and currently supports only 64-bit processors.
