How to Get Mobile Apps to Work with UEM MDM VPN Tunnel

Last updated April 27, 2023 by Appdome

Apps that are integrated with an EMM SDK are typically forced to adopt the routing schemes which are supported and dictated by the EMM. Learn how Appdome shatters that unreasonable trade-off with Adaptive App Routing, putting you, the developer, in control over traffic routing, so you can get mobile apps to work with UEM MDM VPN tunnel.

This Knowledge Base article summarizes the steps on how to route your mobile app’s traffic through an EMM or MAM VPN tunnel using Appdome’s Mobility suite, where YOU choose and control the routing protocol and methods used according to what’s best for your use case, and your app (not the EMM).

Appdome’s Mobility suite can be added to any iOS or Android app instantly, with no code or coding.

We hope you find it useful and enjoy using Appdome!

How to Get Mobile Apps to Work with UEM MDM VPN Tunnel

Appdome is a no-code mobile app security platform designed to add security features in mobile apps.

Appdome’s no-code mobile app security platform offers mobile developers, DevSec and security professionals a convenient and reliable way to protect Android and iOS apps without coding. When a user clicks “Build My App,” Appdome leverages a microservice architecture filled with 1000s of security plugins, and an adaptive code generation engine that matches the correct required plugins to the development environment, frameworks, and methods in each app.

Using Appdome, there are no development or coding prerequisites to build secured apps. There is no SDK and no library to manually code or implement in the app. The Appdome technology adds the relevant standards, frameworks, stores, and logic to the app automatically, with no manual development work at all.

Likewise, there is no requirement to implement tunneling or to control the network flow for all 3rd party network libraries for developing Adaptive App Routing capabilities for Android or iOS apps. The Appdome technology adds any EMM SDK and relevant standards, frameworks, routing protocols to the app automatically. All this happens for any native or non-native apps without any development work for the app maker or developer.

Prerequisites for Using Appdome for Adaptive App Routing

In order to use Appdome’s no code implementation of EMM Managed Routing on Appdome, you’ll need:

The technology behind Build My App has two major elements – (1) a microservice architecture filled with 1000s of code sets needed for mobile integration, and (2) an adaptive code generation engine that can recognize the development environment, frameworks and methods in each app and match the app to the relevant code-sets needed to add an EMM SDK to the mobile app in seconds. For example, the technology of Routing the app’s traffic Dynamically to the EMM, work that ordinarily, a developer would need to do.

Congratulations! You now have a mobile app fully integrated with Adaptive App Routing.

After Adding EMM Routing Schemes to a Mobile App on Appdome

After you have added your EMM Routing Schemes to any Mobile App on Appdome, There are a few additional steps needed to complete your mobile integration project.
