How Apps Are Sorted On The Appdome Platform

Once multiple apps files (.ipa, .apk, .aab) are uploaded to your workspace or to a collaborative workspace, it is important to understand how those apps are organized in order to  select the right app version and build number to work from.

This Knowledge Base article provides explanations on how Android and iOS mobile apps are displayed on the Appdome platform.

We hope you find this knowledge base article useful and enjoy using Appdome!

iOS and Android app on Appdome

Appdome is a no-code mobile integration platform as a service (iPaaS), supporting a wide variety of implementations for Android and iOS apps easily. Using a simple ‘click to add’ user interface, Appdome allows anyone to add mobile app security to any iOS or Android app in seconds, no code or coding required.

Using Appdome, there are no development or coding prerequisites. For example, there are no Appdome SDKs, libraries, plug-ins, software or hardware to implement. Likewise, there are no required infrastructure changes.  Users simply upload an Android or iOS app, select their choice of features from Appdome’s Security category, and click “Build My App”. The Appdome technology adds the chosen mobile security features to the app (plus any required standards or framework extensions) automatically, with no manual development work at all.

How Appdome Mobile Integration Platform organizes uploaded apps?

Uploaded app are sorted accordingly to this organization:

  • OS – Bundle id
    •  Version
      • Build number

Prerequisites for locating an uploaded app

In order to locate your app within the appdome’s apps library, you’ll need:

How to locate the right app to work from?

  1. Apps are displayed on the left hand side of the user interface. From there, locate the app (OS and bundle id) you need. Once you find it, a click on the app icon will collapse a list of uploaded versions sharing the same OS and bundle id.
  2. Next step is to locate the right version and select it.
  3. In order to select the right build number (when multiple build numbers have been uploaded for the same version), select the “+ Add App” icon on the very top in order to display the list of builds.
  4. Finally, select the right build number to use.

Congratulations! Once the right build is selected, the building process can be started by selecting the “Build” tab on the very top!
