Using Appdome, you can add Fingerprint, FaceID, and Appdome Biometrics™ to any mobile app in seconds. This feature adds an additional layer of security to protect your mobile app from unauthorized access. Appdome Biometrics™ gives you more security and control over your security than the native OS pincode (device level). This feature is especially valuable in an Enterprise BYOD use case because device level pincodes can easily be bypassed and are not usually within the control of the enterprise unless a management profile resides on the device (ie: this is not practical in a BYOD scenario, the dominant user case in the modern mobile enterprise).
This Knowledge Base article provides step-by-step instructions to add an Appdome Biometrics™ by Appdome to any mobile app.
We hope you find it useful and enjoy using Appdome!
With all the private and sensitive corporate information available on mobile devices, companies often make policies requiring users to set a pincode or fingerprint to unlock mobile devices. This way, if the device is lost or stolen, the device cannot be unlocked.
Even with these policies, your device can still be compromised. Maybe you accidentally left your unlocked mobile phone behind while paying for groceries, or your kids got distracted and left your unlocked phone at a restaurant. It happens! The great news is that your apps can still be secured by fingerprint or Pincode even if your device is unlocked. Yay!
Appdome’s No-Code Mobile Integration Platform
Using Appdome, there are no development or coding prerequisites. For example, there is no Appdome SDK, libraries, or plug-ins to implement. Using Appdome, you can integrate a FaceID, Fingerprint, and Complex Pincode to any mobile app as it was natively coded into the app.
Appdome is a mobile integration platform as a service (iPaaS) that allows users to add a wide variety of features, SDKs, and APIs to Android and iOS apps. Using a simple ‘click to add’ user interface, Appdome allows anyone to easily implement PIN Code unlock to any mobile app – instantly, no code or coding required.
Prerequisites for Adding Appdome Biometrics™ to Any Mobile App
How to Add Fingerprint, Pincode, and FaceID to Any Mobile App on Appdome
Follow these step-by-step instructions to add an Appdome Biometrics™ to Any Mobile App:
Upload a Mobile App to Your Account

- Enter the desired number of attempts the app will permit before locking the app.
- Click Fuse My App
Note: Fingerprint/Touch ID functionality will automatically be favored when available on the device (on by default).
The technology behind Fuse My App has two major elements – (1) a microservice architecture filled with 1000s of code sets needed for mobile integrations, and (2) an adaptive code generation engine that can recognize the development environment, frameworks and methods in each app and match the app to the relevant code-sets needed to add Appdome Biometrics™ to the mobile app in seconds.
Congratulations! You now have a mobile app fully integrated with Pincode or Fingerprint
If you are using an EMM solution, you may be asking yourself, doesn’t my EMM provide this capability? The answer is Yes.
In this case, Appdome automates app integration with EMM SDKs so your apps can use the awesome security capabilities provided by your EMM solution without writing a line of code.
