Any mobile security model starts with data at rest encryption. DAR encryption protects the data stored inside a mobile app, specifically in the application sandbox,  stings, resources, in-app preferences, or other areas. There are two main classes of mobile app data that needs to be protected and encrypted. The first one is PII (personal information) and sensitive data such as usernames, passwords, account info, and more. The second one is all your app and network data, such as APIs, backend service URLs, keys and secrets, authentication tokens, and cert pinning info.
