Appdome Beefs Up Mobile Identity Category with Multi-Factor Authentication

New services allow developers to integrate MFA to mobile apps in seconds, with no coding required

REDWOOD CITY, CALIF., Feb. 5, 2019 – Appdome, the mobile industry’s first no-code, cloud platform for mobile app integration, today announced a new service category that allows mobile developers to easily add multi-factor authentication to their mobile apps using Appdome’s codeless mobile-service integration platform.

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) has quickly become must-have tools for security and identity professionals to protect their organizations and users from an onslaught of breaches, cyberattacks, data theft, network highjacks, all of which may result from a malicious party gaining unauthorized access to private resources.

Called Appdome for MFA, the service allows developers and others to enhance any Android and iOS app with Multi-Factor and Two-Factor Authentication services in seconds. This speeds mobile app delivery and avoiding complexities in manually implementing third-party SDKs or APIs into mobile app code.

In addition, enterprise mobility professionals can add MFA services to any ISV app, something not possible today. Both developers and mobility professionals can go from concept to implementation in a matter of minutes using Appdome and deploy their MFA enhanced apps into production immediately.

“MFA Vendors and mobile developers need easier ways to realize MFA in mobile apps,” said Tom Tovar, co-creator and CEO of Appdome. “Using Appdome’s no-code mobile integration platform, app makers, and security and identity professionals can bring their choice of MFA solution to life inside mobile apps and ensure a consistent implementation across all Android and iOS apps instantly.”

Appdome is launching Appdome for MFA with the support of market-leading MFA services from Nexmo, the Vonage API Platform, OneLogin and Ping Identity. Complementing these offerings is the Appdome Identity Suite, a collection of extensions that provide advanced instrumentation including dynamically creating UI elements and custom app workflows for developers.

“Nexmo’s Verify 2FA API is used by developers at growing startups and agile enterprises to protect customers against fraud, build trust, and increase conversion across multiple channels,” said Mark Summerson, Vice President of Global Channel Partners at Nexmo. “With Appdome MFA, Nexmo developers can enhance their customer experience and realize better business outcomes quickly and at scale. Similarly, our enterprise customers can now instantly add powerful communication functionality to all their mobile applications, and increase their speed-to-market.”

Jeff Broberg, OneLogin senior director of Product Management, said, “Today’s workforce is increasingly reliant on mobile devices and company-provided applications are on the rise. Identity and privacy mechanisms are a must-have for these applications to ensure data and access security. OneLogin is excited to work with Appdome to provide a no-code solution for engineers to enable MFA for mobile solutions.”
